Hornazo from Hornazar 1000g. The hornazo made in Hornazart is typical of Ávila. It consists of a base of dough kneaded with lard and olive oil, topped with a layer of slices of the finest quality chorizo. On top of the chorizo is another layer of diced and marinated pork loin, sautéed with slices of lean, cured bacon. All of this is covered with another layer of dough that adheres to the bottom layer, leaving the filling raw inside.
